HTC Hero – Android Smartphone
Wednesday, June 24th, 2009HTC today launch a new smart-phone the HTC Hero, powered by the open source Android operating system. The Hero will be the first android phone to support Adobe Flash for web browsing the flash media content. Set out to compete with the new iPhone 3G S, the Hero will be available in Europe in July. Here in the UK it will be offered by Orange from free early July and by T-mobile from free under the name of T-mobile G1 Touch from mid-July.
The HTC Hero brings to the table the HTC Sense user interface. HTC Sense includes widgets and shortcuts that allow access to Facebook, Twitter, News, Calender, Share Prices and many more direct to the home-screen. HTC have focused on customizability allowing the user to make the phone very personable to their needs and wants by moving favourite features to the forefront of the phone. Other improvements include the on screen keyboard bringing in better work correction and auto completion.
Other features include a 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus, internal GPS, Bluetooth, Wifi, G-Sensor and a digital compass with a 3.2 inch HVGA Touch screen, the Hero is out there to complete with the iPhone. But will it succeed? We will have to wait and see…
